Mind Bullet is here!
If you’re like me, you’ve wondered what it would be like to kill a yak, from 200 yards away, with Mind Bullets (‘That’s telekinesis, Kyle’), ever since Tenacious D released their song, Wonderboy in 2001. Well, now its time to find out! *No yak’s were harmed in the writing of this book.
It was just four months ago that The Dark was released. That’s not a ton of time, but I used to release a book a month, so the current three books a year feels slow to me…but also a nice change of pace. Means I get to work on screenplays, and relax a bit.
The Dark was a Top 20 release on Audible, and it stayed in the Top 100 for more than a month. Since then it’s sold amazingly well. It was one of my best sellers out of the gate, and I’m thrilled to be revisiting the characters in Khaos, a 2022 release. BUT, before we can do that, we need to talk about…
MIND BULLET is the final standalone book in the Infinite Timeline. Not sure what that is? Basically, it’s a massive event bringing nine standalone novels together for three epic crossover novels featuring favorite characters from the past five years. Read about it here!
Mind Bullet lays the groundwork for the novel, Khaos (coming in 2022), which will feature main characters from Mind Bullet, The Dark, and Tribe. It’s going to be nuts, and I think you’ll find Mind Bullet‘s main character, Jonas, and his BFF, an AI named Bubbles, to be the perfect cohorts for Miah, Bree, Henry, and Sarah. But that’s not all! Mind Bullet also provides a solid link to Exo-Hunter, set to merge with The Others and Flux in the novel I’m currently writing–The Order (also coming in 2022)–which is crazy fun and cosmic in scope.
And all of that leads to Singularity (probably also coming in 2022), bringing everyone together in the world of Infinite and NPC.
For now, let’s just focus on Mind Bullet, which is…
A telekinetic assassin’s quest to avenge his parents’ murders triggers an all-out war between an eccentric cast of killers, from the New York Times bestselling author of INFINITE and THE DARK.
Jonas kills people…with his mind. He reaches out, focuses for a moment, and feels a snap of pain between his eyes. Then his target falls over dead, a hole in the center of their brains. The cause of death is unknown to all aside from Jonas, and his lone companion: Bubbles, a sarcastic AI with aspirations to be more human, or a serial killer. One of the two. Maybe both. Jonas calls his ability…
Sensing Jonas is lonely and depressed, Bubbles arranges for Madee, a Thai delivery woman by day, and a thief by night, to enter his life. For a moment: sparks. But chaos follows as the people Madee last robbed catch up to her. They also happen to be the Shrieking Ninjas. After surviving the assault, Jonas and Madee find themselves on the run, and a 10 million dollar hit called on Jonas.
Killers from all over the globe pursue the pair as they run for their lives and headlong into Jonas’s mysterious past, uncovering the surreal origins and extent of his abilities. They discover a dark and twisted history that threatens to unravel his mind and leave him susceptible to control. Working with Bubbles, Madee, and a growing list of new allies, Jonas battles his way through waves of assassins, some with abilities like his, all to protect the world from a recently discovered, untraceable weapon of mass destruction—himself.
MIND BULLET is a humor-fueled, edge-of-your-seat thriller that takes the reader to the brink of sanity and then drops them into the abyss. Science fiction and mythology collide in this story about the power of family, and the role parents play in our lives—both good and evil.
Mind Bullet has been narrated by the unfathomable, R.C. Bray, the voice behind the majority of the Infinite Timeline. Once again, he has brought my characters to life, made my laughs funnier, and captured the book’s tone, providing a unique experience. If you’re a reader, I recommend reading as you normally would, but if you really love the story and want to experience it again, give the audiobook a listen and hear the book in a new–and very entertaining–way.
As always, huge thanks to all of you taking this literary journey with me. The insanity that flows from my mind would probably have me committed if you all weren’t paying to read it. 🙂 If you want to help keep this crazy train moving, consider posting a review for Mind Bullet on Amazon and Audible. Each and every one helps improve the book’s recommendation algorithm and helps new readers discover me.
