POINT NEMO is a very different kind of book, and I’m not just saying that in a ‘toot your own horn’ kind of way. I mean for me personally. Typically, I jump right into a story and let it evolve as I write. POINT NEMO is different because the first twelve drafts of this story were a screenplay. I had amazing input from my manager, Jeffrey Belkin, and from Amanda Lewis at Original Film (producers of the Project Nemesis TV series). Their notes helped refine this story, adding twists and turns, unique perspectives, and nefarious ideas. So, when I started writing the novel, I had a detailed 120-page outline to follow. As a result, if the screenplay defies the odds and gets made as a movie, no one will be able to complain that they’re too different. Every scene that should be in the movie is in the book.

And I’m thrilled with the result of this collaborative effort. It took three years of writing and editing to get it to you, and as a result, I’m both sick of it, and very proud of the final product. It’s a thrilling story overflowing with science, bizarre creatures, a unique setting, and wonderful characters I still care about, and I think you will, too.

THE HUNGER TRILOGY – Yummy Yummy in my Tummy

In the wake of SINGULARITY, the epic conclusion to the Infinite Timeline, only one question remains. Are you hungry for more?!

Of course you are! And to that end, I have good news, HUNGER: THE COMPLETE TRILOGY has been released today! That’s right, this bad boy is three novels released as one Mega-Novel. You might be wondering why the heck I decided to release the third Hunger book, FAMINE, as part of a larger book, rather than as a standalone novel. Okay, maybe you aren’t wondering. But I’m going to pretend you are and explain.

When HUNGER and FEAST were released way back when, I had so many books coming out that I decided to experiment with pen names. HUNGER and FEAST were released under the pen name Jeremiah Knight. And guess what?! They didn’t sell as well as they would have under my actual name. Shocker. And in audio, they sold even slower. So, when it came to releasing the third and final Hunger book, it made sense to bring them all under the Robinson name and start fresh from a sales perspective. And we’re doing it with your budget in mind! The e-book and audiobooks will cost the same for all three books, as Book 3 would have on its own. The print book will cost more, but that’s just because there are more physical pages. Our profit will remain the same. So if you have the first two books, please know that publishing this way is not a money grab.

And now that I’ve explained all of that super exciting information…on to the good stuff!

THE HUNGER TRILOGY!

HUNGER is one of my favorite novel concepts. There is so much room for post-apocalyptic creativity that my imagination really enjoys hanging out in this world, even if it is a pretty frightening place. Getting back into the story after a few years away was like visiting family. There might have been a few awkward moments as I reconnected with the characters, but it wasn’t long before we were back in sync and having chaotic fun. Whether you read all three books back to back, or jump straight in at FAMINE, I think you’ll agree that I took full advantage of every potential opportunity for madness. And if you’re a fan of my books, you know that’s a good thing.

In fact, I’ll let you in on a little secret. I’ve always loved HUNGER so much that I wrote a screenplay based on the series, and not only did it come out awesome, it’s also been in development for a feature film for more than a year. Not going to say any more than that. It might very well be in “development hell” now, but the possibility for a film is real. If you’d like to see that, please help make the HUNGER: THE COMPLETE TRILOGY a hit by spreading the word and posting reviews. Getting some real attention on this book can only help things.

Now, on to the story!

I STARTED my novel writing career with THE DIDYMUS CONTINGENCY, a time travel novel of epic proportions. I’ve been wary of writing another story solely focused on time travel because I wasn’t sure if I could come up with a concept as cool and meaningful, but when I dreamed up FLUX, I knew I had something that fans of Didymus would enjoy reading, and that I would love writing.

Set in Appalachian Kentucky, the characters and environment were fascinating for me to explore and bring to life. It’s a nook of the world we don’t talk–or even think–about much, but research turned up gobs of interesting history involving people, animals and…other things.

So prepare yourself for classic Robinson: frenetic action, crazy concepts, big surprises and yeah, I’m gonna make you cry, too.

Here’s the summary:

Lost in time, the town of Black Creek, Kentucky becomes home to temporal layers of people, creatures, and monsters from disparate eras. Journey beyond the time of humanity and witness the rewriting of mankind’s genesis.

For Owen McCoy, a typical day on the job as head of security for Synergy, a research company conducting mysterious experiments, is boring at best. And that’s the way he likes it. Patrolling the Appalachian mountainside, where his now deceased father taught him how to hunt, is relaxing and
connects him to the past.

But today is not a typical day on the job. It begins with asking a thief to join him for breakfast. Seeking to set the young man on a better path, Owen invites him to walk the perimeter with him and consider a more honest living. Before their patrol can begin, they discover evidence that the facility has been breached. When Owen’s truck explodes, he’s confused, but ready for whatever might come his way.

At least, he thinks he is.

A wave of light-bending energy–the Flux–rolls down the mountainside, transporting Owen, and everyone in the nearby town of Black Creek, to October 14, 1985, the day before his father died. Two hours later, the second Flux hits, and then a third, and a fourth, each time collecting Black Creek residents from various times. They’re carried through eras filled with wild animals, monsters of myth, ancient beasts…and then beyond.

Joined by a ragtag group of temporal stowaways, including family members, Owen fights to restore order, stop the Flux and return home, facing off against futuristic tech, primal killers, and the fear of losing his father…again.

International bestselling author of THE OTHERS and INFINITE, Jeremy Robinson combines science, action, and strong characters to create an ever-changing landscape that explores the past, the human condition, and the lengths people will go to save those they love.

ALTER – Preview Chapters!

ARRIVING DECEMBER 4th!*

ALTER is my most mind-bending and heartfelt story since INFINITE. And like the main character of that ill-fated space adventure, Greg Zekser, a doctor from Massachusetts, finds himself alone in very unfamiliar and unfriendly territory. Unlike INFINITE, ALTER takes place in the depths of the Amazon jungle, on Earth, and is very much grounded in reality…and all its brutality. The other similarity to INFINITE is that I wrote this book while dealing with the worst effects of severe head-to-toe neuropathy, caused by a disease that might be Bartonella (stupid ticks!), and which I’m still struggling with today (it’s not as severe now). While Will suffered along with my mental anguish of the year before, Greg got a full dose of my physical discomfort, resulting in a more poignant story, as Greg and I discovered what physical suffering felt like for the first time, together.

While I’m not thrilled to have this disease, I AM thankful to be fortunate enough to channel my discomfort into something positive, the first two chapters of which can be found below.

*The audio edition will likely be out in February and is being performed by Luke Daniels.

A tree branch is the first thing I see upon waking. Normally, such a mundane thing wouldn’t garner a second glance, but as my eyes adjust to the shifting light around me, I focus on the twisting limb slicing through the air in front of me. The bark is smooth, as far as bark goes, like the hide of some hairless mammal. A hippo, perhaps. A few green leaves add color to its heathered gray surface.

As the branch grows larger, I stop seeing the bark and the leaves. All that remains is the limb’s kinetic potential.

A sound like screeching brakes drives home the limb’s murderous intent. The Cessna’s two pilots’ high-pitched screams reveal the state of their unpreparedness for what comes next: eternal supernatural life or nothingness. As my own scream builds, I realize I have yet to fully contemplate the issue myself. I’ve always been so focused on the plight of the here-and-now that I never really gave much thought to what comes next. Probably why I never finished that novel I started.

HELIOS is here!

For those new to the series, the first book, Herculean, took a group of characters from the Jack Sigler Thriller series and formed a new team. Joining the ranks of an ancient organization formed by the historical Hercules, they protect ancient relics, knowledge and creatures, from those who would destroy, pillage and use them. Even more important, they protect humanity from the ancient powers just waiting to be released back into the world. Now, the Cerberus Group is back, and this time the fate of the world is at stake.

SUMMARY:

THE BEGINNING OF THE END…

A deadly swarm of earthquakes shakes the planet. In the sky above, the sun appears to stand still.

While the world reels from the vast destruction, George Pierce and the Cerberus Group, a team of scientific and historical experts, uncovers an imminent threat straight out of history that must be stopped. But not everyone wants them to succeed.

An apocalyptic death cult made up of suicidal martyrs and true believers who will do whatever it takes to ensure the destruction of all life on Earth goes head-to-head with a billionaire tech-genius commanding an army of robots, on a quest to own the sun itself.

Caught in the middle, the Cerberus Group must fend off both sides while traveling to every corner of the map, and into the depths of myth and history, to find the holiest treasure on Earth–an artifact that can harness the power of creation. The prophecies are true.

…THE END IS NIGH.

Jeremy Robinson and Sean Ellis, the international bestselling team behind the Jack Sigler thrillers, including Cannibal and Empire, continue the new series that rewrites the way we see history. Rivaling the best of Matthew Reilly and James Rollins, Helios combines a blistering pace with fringe science and myths reborn.
