The time has come!

Two years ago, I decided to pursue a lifelong dream in the only way I know how–full commitment, big time, all in. I could have just worked on a single comic book and tested the waters before working on the second. That would have been smart, but that’s not how I operate. I’m a risk taker.

So, instead of playing it safe, I launched an entire comic book branch of Breakneck (Breakneck Comics) and wrote scripts for FIVE titles. I then hired art teams for the books, and like John Hammond, spared no expense. A huge risk, but that risk paid off.

The books came out so amazing that we were able to partner with Vault Comics, one of the hottest indie publishers in the business, who have agreed to publish all of the Breakneck titles over the next few years, and if the first books are a hit, there will be many more to come!

But Jeremy, I don’t read comic books!

I hear you, but there was also a time in your life when you didn’t read Jeremy Robinson books. 🙂 And these comics are full-on Robinson books rooted in horror with elements of sci-fi and thrillers. The infamous Robinson cookies are there as well, connecting many of the comics to the novels. It is an official expansion of the Robinsonverse, so I challenge you to give our first release a shot, and see what you think.

NECTAR

Issue #1 of NECTAR comes out on March 4, and then monthly until all four issues are available. After all four are released, there will be a trade paperback edition.

Why pre-order now? Pre-orders motivate stores to order more copies, increasing overall sales which increases availability. If everyone on this list, or even half of you, pre-ordered Nectar, it would make a huge difference.

Here’s a snippet from the press release.

Vault and #1 Audible and New York Times bestselling author Jeremy Robinson have announced Nectar, a terrifying new horror comic book series. Written by Robinson and drawn by the phenomenal artistic duo Annapaola Martello and Francesco Francini, with colors by Steve Canon, letters by Jim Campbell, and design by Tim Daniel, Nectar will take readers on a supernatural thrill ride where horror comes on gossamer wings.

In Nectar, an island village off Salem, Massachusetts, is inundated by a strange species of butterflies that spread the Dancing Plague and have a very particular taste in nectar…human blood.

“When my wife, Hilaree, and I started spitballing story concepts, all I knew was that I wanted to create a new Victorian monster to rival Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, and Werewolves,” said Robinson. “Our twisted imaginations went to work and just minutes later we had blood sucking butterflies and the dancing plague wrapped together, along with the title: Nectar. I loved the idea so much, I started writing the script the next day.”

“A month later, script complete, we signed on an amazing artist tag team—Annapaola Martello and Francesco Francini,” continued Robinson. “Every page they delivered was amazing, and then our colorist, Steve Canon, metamorphosed the black and white pages into something brilliant and beautiful to look at, butterflies and blood-soaked corpses alike! It’s rare to work on a project that is inspired from beginning to end. Nectar is one of those unique experiences that comes along just a few times in a creator’s career.”

PRE-ORDERING INFORMATION

You have two options. First, you can order Nectar online from my favorite comic book store, Jetpack Comics. They’ll have signed copies at the regular price and copies with a “remark” a little drawing by me, for an extra $10. You will see MANY different cover options, some of which are priced higher because they are RARE. The more expensive, the rarer it is. BUT if you don’t have money to burn, fear not, you can still buy issue 1 at the $3.99 retail price, too.

ORDER FROM JETPACK HERE

Your second option is to ask your comic book store to reserve a copy for you, or many copies. If they’re not aware of the comic, just give them the code below and let them know orders need to be in by February 2.
