VIKING TOMORROW

International bestselling authors Jeremy Robinson and Kane Gilmour imagine a world that has survived multiple apocalyptic events, mixing the savagery of the History Channel’s Vikings with the frenetic chase scenes of Mad Max, resulting in a high-octane battle raging across Europe with the fate of humanity at stake.

The world is barely holding on. A century after a series of apocalyptic events, humanity is struggling to survive. In the frigid north of Europe, living as their ancient Viking ancestors once did, the last tattered remnants of humankind have become barren. No new live births have occurred in over a decade. When the remaining population dies, the human race will end. But one man of the old sciences has found a way.

When a call goes out to the greatest fighters in the North, men capable of surviving a long journey and crushing any obstacle in their path, a young female berserker named Val takes up the challenge. With her eyes hidden behind red-lens goggles, she violently proves her worth, seizes control of a small band of fellow berserkers, and determines to claim her prize: the first glimmer of hope for a tomorrow.

Scavenging technology from the old world and the time before the annihilation, the group sets out south, marking the beginning of the Third Age of the Vikings. Almost immediately they are set upon by challenges the likes of which none of them have seen before. Mutated creatures and dangerous landscapes abound, while Val must prove her worth as a leader and keep her unruly men in line.

Traveling deep into the ruined wastes of Europe, the Vikings find themselves pursued by enemies determined to stop them at all costs. Attacked from without and betrayed from within, Val fights for the future, and if she fails, humanity fails along with her.

    Hello,
Could you please tell me if the Jeremiah Knight books are young adult books ?

    Thank You

    • Kane Gilmour

      Hey Jim,

I’ll be co-authoring the Viking books with Jeremy. Only the first one is written so far. While we tried to minimize profanity in the story to just a few occasions (and there’s no nudity or sex), it is still adult due to the violence. Monsters and humans all getting choppity-chopped with axes and swords. I’m specifying because some parents would be okay with lots of violence, but not the other things.

As for HUNGER, the other Jeremiah Knight series (which Jeremy is writing solo), it’s again pretty much the same issue: not a lot of profanity, no sex, but lots of violence.

The Jeremiah Knight name really denotes the different genre for Jeremy of post-apocalyptic action/sci-fi.

THE LAST HUNTER books were originally envisioned as YA titles, though, so if you are looking for a good YA series that would appeal to boys (and girls), that one would do the trick.

And hopefully you’ll check out the Viking books for yourself, if not for your young adult. Unless you *are* the young adult, in which case maybe ask your parents to check them out first and make the decision?

      Best,

      -Kane

Are any of the Viking books available yet? I don’t see them on Amazon.

    • JRobinson

Not yet, sorry. The release schedule is being butchered by health issues. But definitely in the next year. It’s done. We’re just waiting for the right time.

  7. Boat

When will the next book in the viking tomorrow saga be released?

  8. J

Lead time on the next Berserker book?

    • JRobinson

Sadly, there won’t be another Berserker book. I’m not sure why, but Viking Tomorrow didn’t sell well at all.

      • MB1776

Dammit, I just discovered this book! Totally bummed now. Like that sad horse in the sad swamp that got sadded to death.

        • JRobinson

There is always a chance that the series will continue if sales pick up, so feel free to spread the word. Another series, which I’d cancelled, picked back up and now I’m going to write the final book. So it can happen.

Witch series are you talking about?
